Darlene Marie Pappageorge

July 4, 1949 — July 8, 2026

It is with profound sadness and tender hearts that we announce the passing of Darlene Marie Pappageorge, who left this world peacefully in her sleep on July 8, 2026, at the age of 77. Born on the Fourth of July, 1949, in Yuba City, Darlene was a beacon of warmth and love, whose spirit was as vibrant as the fireworks that marked her entrance into this world. Darlene was the cherished daughter of Leigh and Georgette Graves, who preceded her in death. She was also reunited in eternal rest with her beloved husband of 52 years, Chuck Pappageorge, and her dear daughter, Tiffani Pappageorge. Her legacy of love and kindness continues through her surviving family: her sons, Troy Brookins and Nick Pappageorge; her devoted daughter-in-law, Marla Pappageorge; and the light of her life, her grandson, Gavin Pappageorge. Darlene was a nurturing and dedicated mother and grandmother, qualities that she held dear throughout her life. Darlene pursued her education as a medical assistant and spent many fulfilling years working at Fremont Hospital. Her career was marked by compassion and dedication, touching the lives of countless patients and colleagues alike. Outside of her professional life, Darlene was renowned for her love of horseback riding, a passion she pursued with joy and vigor. She was equally adept in the kitchen, where she expressed her love for her family through delicious meals and a warm, welcoming home. Her life was a testament to love, care, and the importance of family. Her nurturing spirit was felt by all who knew her, and her generosity of heart left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to have been in her presence. A service to honor and celebrate Darlene's life will be held on August 3, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Ulrey Mortuary in Yuba City. Family and friends are encouraged to gather to share memories and celebrate the life of a remarkable woman who blessed us all with her kindness and strength. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Darlene's memory to the Alzheimer's Research Association, an organization close to her heart, located in Saint Clair Shores, MI. Darlene Marie Pappageorge will be remembered as a loving wife, devoted mother, adoring grandmother, and a true friend. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who loved her and were touched by her gentle grace.
