With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Darlene Duvall on May 31, 2026, at her home. Darlene left us quietly, after bravely enduring illness with the grace and dignity that defined her life.
Born on January 27, 1957, Darlene was the cherished daughter of the late Georgia and Clem Birdsong. She was a beacon of warmth and kindness, a woman whose life was a tapestry of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Predeceased by her dear parents, beloved sisters Roxann, Earlene, and Sherry, her treasured son Dune (B.J.) Stroud, and her lifelong best friend Sandy, Darlene's spirit and legacy continue to shine through those she leaves behind. Her surviving family includes her devoted daughters, Darla and Randall Meredith, and Angel Stroud. Her grandchildren, Nicolas and Taylon Norris, Jade Meredith, Destiny Sheen, Harley and Jessica Stroud, and Hope Maust, along with her great grandchildren , Kaiden Norris, Kinlee Norris, Kash Norris, Ahliya Sheen, Aubree Sheen, Chloe Sheen, and Liam Meredith, they will forever carry her love in their hearts. Darlene is also survived by her loving brothers, Larry Duvall, Wes DuVall, and Rocky DuVall, who will continue to celebrate her life through their cherished memories.
Darlene's life was enriched by simple joys and passions. She found delight in the camaraderie of bingo and the thrill of the casino, always eager to share a laugh or a story with those around her. Her family fondly remembers evenings spent playing cards together, moments filled with warmth and laughter. Darlene had a whimsical love for unicorns, butterflies, Tinkerbell, and Care Bears, and she adored the color purple, which she wore as a badge of her vibrant personality and gentle spirit.To her family, Darlene was a beacon of love and guidance. Her presence was a blessing, her memory a treasure.
