Darlene A Brink

January 16, 1957 — May 27, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, Darlene A. Brink, who gracefully departed this world on May 27, 2026. Born on January 16, 1957, in Spangler, Pennsylvania, Darlene was a beacon of compassion and kindness whose warmth touched many lives. Darlene was the cherished daughter of Mary Ann and Joseph Brink, who instilled in her the values of love, dedication, and service. She was preceded in death by her dear brother Michael and sister Annette, whom she loved deeply and spoke of often with fondness and reverence. A proud alumna of Punxsutawney High School, Class of 1974, Darlene went on to follow her calling in the healing arts, graduating from the Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in 1977. Her thirst for knowledge led her to earn both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and her Master of Business Administration from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Darlene further advanced her career as a Nurse Practitioner in Clarion, where she became a trusted and respected figure in the medical community. Throughout her career, Darlene dedicated herself to the care of others, working as a compassionate nurse at Punxsutawney Hospital and providing solace and support to families in hospice care in Brookville. Her commitment extended to serving those in need at the Free Medical Clinic in DuBois and at Penn Highlands Q Care, where her patients were grateful for her attentive and gentle care. Darlene was also a valued member of the SSCD community in Punxsutawney and contributed selflessly to the Punxsutawney Little League, notably supporting traveling families in need. Her charitable spirit and dedication to service left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Beyond her professional life, Darlene was a loving mother to her son Dustin and his partner Emily Greenhill, and the proud, doting grandmother to Adelyn, Caden, and Benjamin. She found immense joy in her grandchildren, who were the light of her life and the source of her laughter and happiness. Darlene's legacy is one of unyielding love, compassion, and dedication. She leaves behind a family and community enriched by her presence and a world made better by her deeds. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched. A celebration of Darlene's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her memory to the Punxsutawney Little League to continue the support of families, reflecting Darlene’s generous spirit and tireless dedication to helping others. Darlene A. Brink will be forever loved and remembered, her life a testament to the beauty of caring and giving. May she rest in peace, embraced by the love of those who have gone before her.
