Dariusz Markowski

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Dariusz Markowski, who left this world on July 30, 2026, at his home after a courageous battle. Born on September 1, 1964, in Monki, Poland, Dariusz was a man whose life was defined by love, laughter, and an unwavering commitment to his family and friends. Dariusz was the cherished son of the late Wladyslaw and Agnieszka Markowska. He was preceded in death by his parents as well as his dear mother-in-law, Irena Pracka. He is survived by his devoted wife, Dorota, with whom he shared 39 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a life filled with joy, raising their four children: Jessica, Anita (TJ), Magda (Matt), and Pawel. Dariusz was a proud dziadek/grandpa to five beautiful grandchildren—Tristan Jr, Julian, Riley, Grayson, and Jayana—each of whom brought immense joy to his life. And fur grandchild, Melo. In November 22, 1986, Dariusz and Dorota tied the knot in Goniadz, Poland, marking the beginning of a lifetime of shared adventures and cherished memories. In 1993, together with their children they emarked on a journey to Chicago, IL to build a better life for their family. Dariusz was a hard working man who spent over 25 years working in construction, a career through which he demonstrated his remarkable work ethic and dedication. Dariusz was a man of many interests and passions. He found peace in the early morning hours while fishing and cherished the simple pleasure of a freshly brewed cup of coffee, often accompanied by his favorite Malboro cigarettes. A social soul, he loved to dance at every party and was known for posting and sharing videos on Facebook. Dariusz had a fondness for hats and sweaters, and he delighted in fixing things around the house. A lover of classic rock music, Dariusz enjoyed taking naps and doing Polish crossword puzzles. His sweet tooth was well-known, particularly his love for Polish chocolate paczki filled with pudding. Above all, his greatest joy came from watching his grandchildren play, a testament to his deep love for his family. Dariusz's personal qualities were as vibrant as his smile, which could light up any room he entered. With a heart as big as his laughter, he was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His sense of humor was a constant presence, and he never took life too seriously, preferring to crack jokes and spread joy. Ever supportive and never judgmental, Dariusz appreciated the simple pleasures in life, teaching those around him to do the same. His legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. Dariusz Markowski will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of crossing paths with him. His soul will live in our hearts forever. Kochamy cie na zawsze.
