In Loving Memory

Daree Sailes
March 19, 1940 — July 3, 2026
It is with profound sadness and deep respect that we announce the passing of Daree Sailes, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, on July 3, 2026. Born on March 19, 1940, in Mobile, Alabama, Daree lived a life devoted to family, faith, and community. She passed away peacefully in her sleep, a gentle departure that mirrored the grace with which she lived her 86 years.
Daree was the beloved daughter of June and Mary Dixon. Her life was enriched by the love of her daughter, Kimberly, and her three sons, Tracy, Mark, and Andre Sailes, who predeceased her. She is survived by her devoted husband, Wilfred (Dean) Sailes, and her loving children, Kimberly, Tracy, and Marcus Sailes. Her legacy is carried forward by her seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, who will remember her as a beacon of love and wisdom.
A pillar of the Friendship Baptist Church community in Anderson, Daree was a steadfast presence, always the first to arrive and the last to leave. Her faith was a guiding light, and her service to the church was a testament to her unwavering commitment to her beliefs and her community. Daree's warm smile and open heart welcomed everyone she met, reflecting her profound love and respect for others.
In her free time, Daree dedicated herself to the care and support of her family and community. Whether it was assisting those in need with everyday tasks like shopping or providing a clean and comfortable home, Daree's generosity knew no bounds. She embodied the spirit of selflessness, always putting the needs of others before her own.
Daree's family wishes to extend a special message: "To a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother, you will be forever remembered and loved. Your teachings will continue to pass on through your family with each and every member. We love you, and we pray you rest well."
In accordance with her family's wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Daree's life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, those who wish to honor Daree's memory are encouraged to support a charity or cause that reflects her values and commitment to helping others.
Daree's life was a testament to the power of faith, love, and community. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew her, and she will be dearly missed by all who were privileged to share in her journey.

God’s Garden
God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be, so He put His arms around you and whispered, "Come to Me." With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard-working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best.
