Danny Christian, born on July 18, 1961, in the town of Greenville, SC, graced the world with his unique spirit, sense of humor, and unwavering dedication (particularly related to family, country and Clemson football)! With profound sadness, we announce his passing on May 8, 2026. Danny's life was a testament to service, love, and the joy found in simple pleasures, leaving a legacy that will be cherished by all who knew him. A proud veteran of the United States Marines, Danny served his country with honor, earning numerous awards for his service. His commitment to his fellow servicemen and women, and his nation, was a central theme of his life. Danny is survived by his son, Josh Christian (Brittany), and grandchildren, Owen, Ava and Nolan. He is also survived by brother, Larry Christian (Jo), and sister, Terri Smith (Terry). Of special mention are those he considered children, Amanda Foster (John), Steven Ferguson, Christopher Ferguson (Dr. Raven Holbrooks), Jonathan Roddy (Wendy), and grandchildren, Makenzie Ferguson, Madison Lister, Mayson Henson. Friends and family are invited to honor and celebrate Danny’s life at a Military Committal Service scheduled for July 17, 2026, promptly at 2:00 PM. The service will be held at the D J “Dolly” Cooper Veterans Cemetery, located at 140 Inway Drive, Anderson, SC. This will be a moment to reflect upon Danny’s life, his contributions, and the impact he left on those around him. Following the service, the family welcomes friends and loved ones to gather for a time of fellowship and remembrance. This casual gathering will take place at Raines in Williamston, 11 Pelzer Avenue, Williamston, SC 29697, from 3PM- 5PM, in the private room reserved under Terri Smith. Light refreshments will be available, and attendees may also order food on their own to enjoy a meal from the menu as they reminisce and celebrate Danny's life. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations or contributions be made in Danny's memory to a charity or cause of your choice. Danny's memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. HIs presence will be deeply missed, but we take comfort in the hope and faith that he lives in God’s healing presence today!
