Danny O'Niel Powell, a cherished father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2026, surrounded by those he loved. Born on August 15, 1968, in Camden, South Carolina, Danny was a man whose gentle spirit and unwavering dedication to family left an indelible mark on all who knew him. Danny was the beloved son of Ann and Robert Powell, both of whom preceded him in death. Their loving guidance helped shape Danny into the remarkable man he became—a man who put family first and embodied kindness, strength, and resilience. Danny's legacy is carried on by his five beloved children: Daniel Holiday, Danyria Powell, Tyasia Powell, Destiny Holiday, Tyquan Holiday, and many others who held a special place in his heart. His five grandchildren were a constant source of joy and pride, and he cherished every moment spent with them, sharing stories, laughter, and love. Fishing was one of Danny’s favorite pastimes, offering him solace and a connection to nature. Whether casting a line in the early morning light or sharing tales of "the one that got away," Danny found peace and happiness near the water. It was this tranquility and patience that he brought into all aspects of his life, teaching those around him the importance of cherishing life's simple pleasures. Danny's warmth and determination touched countless lives, leaving a legacy of compassion and strength. His family and friends will forever remember his infectious smile, generous heart, and unwavering support. A celebration of Danny's life will be held on April 8, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Ebenezer Baptist Church, located at 101 Jackson St NE, Atlanta, GA 30312.
