April 27, 1952 — June 16, 2026

It is with great sadness and tender remembrance that we announce the passing of Danny Lee Ricketson, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. Danny passed away peacefully, with his wife and daughter by his side on June 16, 2026, at the age of 74. Born on April 27, 1952, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, Danny was the son of the late Jefferson "Jeff" Ricketson and Betty Jean Jones. Danny was a man of many talents and interests, a true "jack of all trades" whose skills and passions enriched his life and those around him. He owned and operated Ricketson Mobile Home Installers, where his hard work and dedication were known throughout the community. After years of service, Danny retired to Georgetown to enjoy one of his greatest past times—fishing. He recently, joined the workforce at Bumper-to-Bumper Auto Parts, where his colleagues and customers appreciated his input and amiable nature. Danny's love for speed and adventure was evident in his passion for drag racing in his dragster. He found great joy in the simple pleasure of watching Westerns on tv and spending time with family. A devout and active member of Morris Baptist Church, Danny served his faith community as a deacon and Sunday School teacher. His devotion to his church family was unwavering. Danny is survived by his devoted wife, Debbie Ricketson, and his loving daughter, Missy Ricketson. He is also remembered by his three stepchildren, Stacy Pittman (Andy), Christina Hembree, and Timothy Hembree, who held a special place in his heart. His legacy lives on in his four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, who were the light of his life. Danny also leaves behind his sister, Vicki Aldridge (Edward), and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends who adored him dearly. Preceding Danny in death was his beloved grandmother, Ollie Mae Roberts, and his brothers, Dean Ricketson and Lavaughn Ricketson. Danny's life was a testament to love, family, and community. He was a man who lived fully, loved deeply. His warmth, wisdom, and humor will be missed, but his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those he touched. A celebration of Danny's life will be held on June 27, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Morris Baptist Church, located at 256 Morris Road, Morris, Georgia. Friends and family are invited to gather in fellowship and remembrance of a life well-lived. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Morris Baptist Church in Danny's memory, honoring his life-long commitment to his faith and community. As we say goodbye to Danny, let us carry forward his legacy of kindness, generosity, and love, remembering always the joy he brought into our lives.
