Danny Hagood, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully in his sleep on September 29, 2026. Born on March 7, 1955, in Lubbock, Texas, Danny lived a life full of love, laughter, and dedication to his family and passions. Danny was the cherished son of Billie and Melvin Hagood, who predeceased him along with his sister, Sherry, and his beloved wife, Gaylene. He is survived by his children Wesley, Brandon, Kevin, Christy, and Butch, and his ten adoring grandchildren: Cadence, Skyler, Elijah, Joycelynn, Calvin, Nathan, Kenzie, Luke, Mason, and Samantha. In September 1997, Danny married Gaylene Hinkle, and together they shared 29 wonderful years filled with shared passions and adventures. They raised a loving family and found joy in fishing and gardening, often spending peaceful days on the water or tending to their garden. Danny dedicated his professional life to serving as a master plumber for Arlington ISD. His work ethic and commitment were unmatched, and he took pride in his role, earning the respect and friendship of colleagues and clients alike. An avid fisherman, Danny relished the serenity of being on the water with a fishing pole in hand and a cold beer in a koozie. His love for fishing was surpassed only by his love for his family and his two loyal dogs, who were constant companions in his later years. Danny also enjoyed watching old westerns and sharing stories filled with humor and warmth. Danny's life will be celebrated on November 8, 2026, at 12:00 PM at 2808 Harolds Ct, Alvarado, TX, 76009. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of a man who touched the lives of many with his kindness, humor, and unwavering spirit. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Danny's honor.
