Daniel Thomas O’Sadnick

We celebrate the life of Daniel Thomas O’Sadnick, a gentle soul whose journey began on July 3, 1954, in LaSalle, Illinois, and concluded peacefully in hospice care in Kissimmee, Florida, on October 21, 2025. Daniel's life was a testament to kindness, perseverance, and a quiet dedication to both family and community. Born to Elizabeth (Betty) and Tom O’Sadnick, Daniel grew up surrounded by the love and warmth of his family, including his late grandparents Eileen and Leo Waligora, and Mary Ethel (Swords) and Frank O’Sadnick. He shared a joyful childhood with his siblings David, Richard, Michael, Maureen (Johnson), and Eileen (Smith), who survive him and carry forward his legacy of love and laughter. Daniel's educational journey began at St. Patrick’s Elementary School, where he graduated in 1968, followed by St. Bede Academy, where he completed his studies in 1972. His academic pursuits continued at St. John’s University in Collegeville, Minnesota, from 1972 to 1974, where he developed a lifelong love for learning and exploration. In 1980, Daniel embarked on a career as an insurance claims specialist, a role that saw him through many pivotal moments, including his brave and compassionate work in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, following the tragic bombing of the Edward P. Murray Federal Building. Despite the gravity of his work, Daniel always sought joy and fulfillment, leading him to Universal Studios Orlando, where he found happiness and camaraderie as an amusement park associate. He embraced his role with enthusiasm until his retirement in 2025, leaving behind countless cherished memories and friendships. Daniel’s life was marked by a profound sense of service, both professionally and personally. He brought comfort to those in need and joy to those who crossed his path. His gentle humor and unwavering kindness were gifts to all who knew him. Though his presence will be deeply missed, Daniel's spirit lives on in the hearts of his family and friends. As we remember him, we find solace in the memories of his laughter, his love for adventure, and his unwavering dedication to those he held dear. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Daniel's memory, as a tribute to his generous and compassionate heart.
