It is with heavy hearts and cherished memories that we announce the passing of Daniel S. Belfield, who departed this world peacefully on June 15, 2026, at the age of 79. Born on July 15, 1946, in Baltimore, Maryland, Daniel was the beloved son of Willard D. Belfield and Betty Jean Miller Belfield. Throughout his life, Daniel exemplified a spirit of warmth, humor, and resilience, touching the hearts of all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Daniel's life was a testament to dedication, both to his family and his community. He proudly served in the US Army Reserves for several years, embodying the values of honor and service that he carried with him throughout his life. His career was marked by his exceptional skills as a salesman and entrepreneur, with his greatest professional passion being the successful establishment and operation of Dan’s Airport Enterprises, LLC.
Daniel was an avid fisherman who found solace and joy on the water. Never missing an opportunity to cast a line, he shared countless stories and laughter with friends and family.
At the heart of Daniel's life was his beloved family. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Joann K. Pruitt Belfield. Together, they built a family filled with love and laughter. Daniel is survived by his children: Daniel L. Belfield and his wife Donna, Christopher Belfield Sr., and Lindsay Belfield Knapp, who carry forward his legacy of kindness and integrity.
His grandchildren, William Belfield Jr., Danyelle Belfield Kleim, Cooper Belfield, Charlie Belfield, Jamie Allen Raab, Katie Sinyard, Kameron Sinyard, and Makenzie Sinyard, along with several great-grandchildren, will forever hold his memory close, inspired by his gentle wisdom and unconditional love. Daniel was predeceased by his cherished son, William Belfield Sr., with whom he is now reunited.
In addition to his family, Daniel shared a special bond with his close friends Bernie and BB Liapold, who stood by his side through life's many seasons, sharing in its joys and challenges.
As we say goodbye to Daniel, we honor a life well-lived and a man deeply loved. His legacy will continue to inspire future generations, and his spirit will remain a guiding light for those who knew him. May he rest in peace, forever embraced by the love of family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a local VFW or American Legion post in Daniel's honor, ensuring his legacy of service and community continues to make a difference.
