Daniel Ray Hulse
March 26, 1952 — October 1, 2026
Daniel Ray Hulse, a cherished father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2026. Born on March 26, 1952, in Circleville, Ohio, Daniel was the beloved son of Maynard and Martha Hulse, who, along with his dear sister Doris, predeceased him.
Daniel is survived by his devoted children, Shannon and Noah, who will forever remember him as a loving and supportive father. His legacy also lives on through his grandson, Colten, who brought immense joy to his life. Daniel is also survived by his siblings, Ellen and David, and David's spouse, Laura, who remained close to him throughout his life.
Growing up in Ohio, Daniel developed a deep-rooted passion for sports, becoming a loyal and sometimes fervent fan of the OSU Buckeyes, Cleveland Browns, and Cincinnati Reds. His enthusiasm for these teams was matched only by his love for the thrill of an air show. Many fond memories were made during afternoons spent at the airport, indulging his sweet tooth with his favorite fast food and watching planes take off and land.
Golf was another of Daniel's passions, and he could often be found on the golf course, savoring both the game and the camaraderie it brought. However, nothing brought him greater joy than supporting his son's Special Olympics events. His unwavering encouragement and pride were a testament to his nurturing nature and love for his family.
Daniel had a unique ability to bring laughter and joy to those around him. He delighted in playfully teasing his daughter, Shannon, with the sole purpose of making her laugh. His sense of humor and warmth will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
As per Daniel's wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor his life. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests donations to the West Licking Special Olympics, PO Box 11, Pataskala, OH 43062, to continue Daniel's legacy of support and advocacy for this cherished cause.
