Daniel Patrick Kelly

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Daniel Patrick Kelly on July 1, 2026, at the age of 55. Born on July 15, 1970. Daniel was preceded his father, John W. Kelly; a son Eric and a daughter Angell He is survived by his loving mother, Gloria J. Kelly, who has been a pillar of strength and compassion for the entire family. Also survived are 2 sons, Matthew and Joseph Kelly, and his daughter, Amanda Piccolo; Entrepreneurial in spirit, Dan purchased a popular tavern in Charlotte in 2001, which he fondly named Dan's Horseshoe Tavern. It became a cornerstone of the community, a place where friends gathered and memories were made. Dan's warm hospitality and infectious laughter made everyone who walked through the doors feel like family. Dan's legacy is also carried on by his siblings: John (Mary) Kelly, James Kelly, and Robert (Sarah) Kelly. His brothers were not only family but also his lifelong friends, sharing countless adventures and providing unwavering support throughout his journey. In honor of Dan's generous spirit, the family suggests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, a testament to Dan's belief in the importance of giving back and helping those in need. Daniel Patrick Kelly's memory will forever be cherished by all who knew him. His life was a beautiful tapestry of love, friendship, and service to others. Though his physical presence is no longer with us, his spirit will continue to inspire and uplift those who had the privilege of knowing him. Rest in peace, dear Dan.
