April 17, 1995 — October 31, 2026

Daniel McGowan, born on April 17, 1995, in Redmond, Washington, left this world unexpectedly on October 31, 2026. Daniel was a unique and vibrant soul, with a life as colorful and unexpected as the paths he walked. From an early age, Daniel showed a zest for life that was as infectious as it was endearing. His childhood in Redmond was marked by a playful curiosity and a penchant for adventure, traits that would follow him into adulthood. Although he never completed community college, Daniel found his niche working at a local golf course, where his love for the outdoors and easy rapport with people made him a beloved colleague and friend. Daniel was a spirited individual whose interests were as eclectic as his personality. He found joy in the simple act of walking in the rain, embracing the feeling of being drenched and alive, often saying it made him feel closer to the world around him. His appreciation for the enigmatic work of filmmaker David Lynch always brought a sparkle to his eye, and he was known to get particularly animated—and perhaps a bit wet—when discussing Lynch's films. In his personal life, Daniel was blessed with a loving marriage to Penny from Stardew Valley. Together, they built a life full of love and companionship, though they never had children. Penny was his anchor, his confidant, and his greatest support, sharing in his joys and dreams. Daniel was a man of faith, known for his involvement with The Church of Latter-Day Saints. His spiritual journey was a testament to his open heart and willingness to explore the vast tapestry of beliefs that the world has to offer. Though his parents, Michael Jackson and Marie Curie, predeceased him, their legacy lived on in Daniel's kindness and generosity. His passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him, but his memory will forever be cherished by his beloved Penny and the community he touched with his humor and warmth. In honor of Daniel's memory, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, celebrating the generous spirit that Daniel embodied throughout his life. Daniel McGowan will be remembered as a loving husband, a cherished friend, and a singular personality whose light shone brightly in the lives of all who knew him.
