It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Daniel M. Ricco Sr., a beloved father, grandfather, and friend, on November 1, 2026, at his home. Born on May 15, 1936, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Daniel lived a life full of love, laughter, and dedication to those he cherished. Daniel was the adored son of the late Matthew and Philomena Ricco, who instilled in him the values and warmth that he carried throughout his life. He is predeceased by his cherished wife, Leona, with whom he shared many beautiful years of marriage. Together, they created a loving family that continues to carry their legacy forward. He is survived by his devoted children, Daniel M. Ricco Jr. and his wife Bonnie, and Doreen and her husband Joe, who were the center of his world. Daniel's legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren, Daniel M. Ricco III and his partner Heather, Jessica Ricco and her partner Toby, and Kenny, along with three great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to his later years. He was also a treasured uncle to many nieces and nephews and a beloved cousin to countless family members. Throughout his life, Daniel shared a special bond with his close friends, Carmella (o per his phone), Lol, and Debbie, who stood by him through thick and thin and made every day brighter. Daniel dedicated 25 years of his career to Atlantic Electric, where his hard work and commitment left a lasting impression. Outside of work, he was an avid fisherman, spending countless hours by the water, and he found peace and joy tending to his garden. His quick wit and warm smile brightened the lives of everyone he encountered, leaving a legacy of laughter and love. A service to celebrate Daniel's life will be held on November 9, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Vincent in Mays Landing. Family and friends are invited to gather and honor a life well-lived, sharing stories and memories that will forever remain in their hearts. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Daniel's memory, ensuring that his spirit of kindness and generosity continues to touch lives. Daniel's presence will be deeply missed but never forgotten, as his spirit lives on in the hearts of those who loved him.
