Daniel Federanko
June 3, 1957 — June 18, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Daniel Federanko, who left this world peacefully at his home on June 18, 2026, at the age of 69. Born on June 3, 1957, in Wilmington, Delaware, Dan was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose life was a testament to kindness, generosity, and unwavering dedication to family and community.
Dan was the son of Donald Federanko Sr. and Evelyn “Wheatie” Pelura-Inouye, who both predeceased him, along with his stepfather Ed Inouye, mother-in-law Virginia Russell, brother-in-law Jay Davis, sisters-in-law Kathy Dawson and Justine Dawson, and his niece Nila Dawson. He is survived by his devoted wife, Deborah Federanko, who stood by his side through life’s joys and challenges.
A proud father, Dan is remembered with love by his son Shawn (Amber) Lowe and his grandsons, Spencer and Evan Lowe, who were the light of his life. He was a caring brother to Donna (Russell) Stout, Darlene Davis, John Luthy, Donald (Amy) Federanko Jr., and David (Samatha) Federanko. Dan also leaves behind his brothers-in-law Mark Dawson and Greg Dawson, along with many cherished aunts, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends who will continue to carry forward his legacy of love and compassion.
Dan was a man of many talents and passions. He began his professional journey by establishing Dan’s TV, later transitioning to the construction and concrete industry, and ultimately finding fulfillment in his sales career with Tuckahoe Sand & Gravel. His strong work ethic and commitment to excellence were admired by all who knew him.
A man of deep faith, Dan was a dedicated member of the First Assembly of God for nearly four decades, serving as a deacon for over 30 years. His leadership extended beyond the church, as he was a founding board member for Bushels of Blessings and a rural ranger leader, guiding and inspiring others through his actions. His charitable spirit was recognized with a Foundation Award from Habitat for Humanity, a testament to his lifelong dedication to helping those in need.
Dan found joy in the simple pleasures of life. An avid fisherman, he cherished time spent on the water with family and friends, often reminiscing about those cherished moments. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting, and throughout his life, he was an enthusiastic golfer and an excellent craftsman, skills he shared generously with others.
Above all, Dan’s greatest joy was his family and friends. His love was unmatched, and he was always the first to offer help, support, and a kind word. His generous spirit and compassionate nature were a blessing to all who knew him, leaving a lasting impact on everyone he met.
A service to celebrate Dan’s extraordinary life will be held on Monday June 29, 2026, at 10:00AM to 12:00PM for visitation with a service to follow at the First Assembly of God, located at 380 Georgetown Road, Carneys Point, NJ. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Dan are invited to attend and honor the legacy of a remarkable man who enriched the lives of so many.
In honor of Dan’s life and generous heart, those wishing to make a donation may do so to First Assembly of God church (www.first.org) Or Bushels of Blessings (www.bushelsblessings.org), a non-profit ministry.
Dan Federanko’s life was a testament to love, faith, and selflessness. Though he will be deeply missed, his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in eternal peace.
