These qualities were most evident in the way he loved his family. He was the devoted father of three beautiful daughters, Adreanna, Daniella "Ella," and Mia, each of whom were the light of his life. Becoming a grandfather to Alijah Daniel Colon Rodriguez brought him immense joy and pride, as this little boy carried his name and continued his legacy. Daniel's bond with his siblings was profound. His sister Tina, with whom he shared a unique closeness, was more than just a sibling; she was his confidante and partner in crime, sharing countless memories and laughter. His brother, Edwin, whom he affectionately teased for being the "straight and narrow" one, was cherished deeply, a steadfast presence in Daniel's life. The love he had for his family was fierce and unyielding; family was family, and Daniel was their protector. Daniel's life was marked by his passion for cooking, a natural talent that shone brightly during his career as a chef at Chili's in Connecticut. Beyond the kitchen, he found joy in cutting hair, a skill he generously shared with his family, often accepting nothing more than a pack of cigarettes as gratitude. His commitment to family extended to his membership in the Latin Kings, an organization that became a source of support and camaraderie during some of his life's most challenging periods. Despite the struggles he faced, particularly with alcohol, Daniel was on a path of self-discovery and healing. In the last weeks of his life, he found solace and hope attending church with his beloved mother, a time she will forever hold dear. Daniel's laughter was infectious, his love was profound, and his heart was open to all those he cared for. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and loyalty, one that will be cherished by all who knew him.
