Daniel J. Dennis Daniel J. Dennis, age 67 of Waverly, Ne passed away on Saturday, October 10th, 2026 at Adept Nursing & Rehab in Waverly, Ne. Daniel was born on March 22, 1959 in Denver, Colorado to his parents Rose Marie (Boyd) and Robert Frederick Dennis at 10:12 a.m. He was one of six children. Daniel was united in marriage to Jeanee Marie Babcock on September 10th, 2010 at the Sunken Gardens in Lincoln, NE and in this union became a stepfather to four children, Juanita, Jonathan, Jody, and Jared. Daniel also has a stepchild from a previous marriage, Denny Lear of Ong, Nebraska. Daniel worked many years in the industrial field in all trades, he did mostly sod work. He was a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses Church of which he was baptized on July 7th, 2013 in Lincoln, Nebraska at the Pershing Center. He is survived by his wife of sixteen years, Jeanee Dennis of Waverly, Nebraska and her children Juanita Garner and her husband David of Lincoln, Nebraska, Jonathan Johnson and his significant Julie, Jody Johnson of Wausa, Nebraska, Jared Johnson and his wife Jenny of Lincoln, Nebraska and Denny Lear of Ong, Nebraska, his step mother Sadie Dennis of York, Alabama, his brothers: Fred Dennis and his wife Terri of Lincoln, Nebraska, Clifford Dennis of Lincoln, Nebraska, Gary and his wife Kristi of Mesa, Arizona, Jonathan Dennis of Henderson, Nebraska, his sister Theresa McKay of Lincoln, Nebraska, brother in-laws: Steven Babcock of Lincoln, Nebraska, Michael Babcock of Lincoln Nebraska, Robert Babcock of Cozad, Nebraska, sister in-laws: Debbie Hixson and her husband John of Cortland, Nebraska, Kathy Sass of Eagle, Nebraska, his cousins, nieces, nephews, and eleven grandchildren. Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Kathy in 1957, his in-laws William and Iva Babcock, and aunts and uncles.
