December 4, 1976 — April 7, 2026

On the morning of April 7, 2026, the world lost a truly remarkable man, Daniel Cantu Jr., who passed away peacefully in a hospital room in Gilbert Arizona, surrounded by the loving embrace of his family. Having courageously battled cancer, Daniel's departure leaves a profound void in the lives of those who knew him, yet his indomitable spirit and unwavering faith in God will forever illuminate our hearts. Daniel was born on December 4, 1976, in Mesa, Arizona, Maricopa County, to his cherished parents, Daniel Sr. and Maria Cantu. From a young age, he was inspired by his father's craftsmanship, which led him to become a Master Carpenter. Through his work, Daniel not only honed his skills but also embodied the values of dedication and excellence in every project he undertook. He graduated with Honors from Gateway Community College to be a Carpenter. He loved what he did. He took pride and joy in every project and loved to see his clients faces when the job was done! He wanted his business to represent his faith and to give people something to think about when they asked him why he selected the name for his business; Born Again Renovations & Services . That alone opened an opportunity for him to speak and share with others about Jesus Christ and his unwavering faith. On July 1, 2000, Daniel married the love of his life, Maribel Diaz. Together, they crafted a beautiful life, one that was enriched by the blessing of raising five extraordinary daughters: Natalie, Jasmine, Nuvia, Mariah and Alicia Cantu. Daniel’s legacy continues to thrive through his beloved grandchildren: Naomi and Emiliano Ortiz, Milo Riojas and Marina Bella Cantu all of whom brought immense joy and pride into his life. Daniel was a God-fearing man whose profound love for Christ was shared fiercely and shamelessly. As an active member of the Word Life Church, he served faithfully as a Youth Pastor, Usher, and a vital part of the Prayer Team. His commitment to his faith and community inspired many and provided a beacon of hope and love to all who encountered him. A passionate supporter of his favorite football team, the Arizona Cardinals, Daniel's enthusiasm for life extended far beyond the field. He was known for his bold and unconditional love, his strength as a protector and fighter, and his dedication as a hard-working provider who blessed others whenever possible. Daniel is survived by his devoted wife of 26 years, Maribel, and his daughters and grandchildren, who will continue to honor his memory. He also leaves behind his 3 beloved sisters, who shared in the joys and challenges of life with him. A celebration of Daniel's life will take place on May 2, 2026, at 9:30 AM at the Word Life Church, located at 2440 E Germann Rd Suite 5, Chandler, AZ 85286. Family and friends are welcome to join in honoring a life well-lived and a soul deeply loved. As we bid farewell to Daniel, we hold his memory dear, knowing he will remain forever in our hearts. His legacy of love, faith, and devotion serves as a testament to a life beautifully lived, one that continues to inspire and uplift those who were fortunate to know him.
