It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Daniel Bennett, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who departed this world on June 22, 2026, at his home in Toccoa, Georgia, after a courageous battle with heart failure. Daniel was born on April 17, 1965, in the welcoming town of Erie, Pennsylvania, to the late Paul and Helen Bennett. Daniel was a man of great strength and unwavering love, traits he carried throughout his life and shared with those fortunate enough to know him. He was predeceased by his cherished father, Paul Bennett, and his beloved brother, Tim Bennett, whose memories he held close to his heart. A graduate of Stephen’s County High School, Daniel went on to build a successful career as a self-employed contractor, dedicating over 30 years to the craft he loved. His work was a testament to his skill, perseverance, and commitment to excellence, leaving a lasting impact on the community he served. In 1985, Daniel married the love of his life, Gale Nichols. Together, they created a beautiful life filled with laughter, love, and cherished memories over their 41 wonderful years of marriage. Their bond was unshakable, a true testament to the power of love and companionship. Daniel was a devoted family man, blessed with two grandsons, Tristan Bohannon and Zach Bohannon, who brought immense joy and pride to his life. His great-granddaughter, Dolly Grace Bohannon, was the apple of his eye, and he cherished every moment spent with her, creating memories that will be treasured forever. He leaves behind a loving family who will miss him dearly: his wife Gale, sisters Melody Westmoreland (Brian) and Rebeckah Bennett, and brother John Bennett. His spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of his grandsons, Tristan and Zach, and his precious great-granddaughter, Dolly Grace. Daniel's life will be celebrated on Sunday June 28 2026, at 3:00 PM at Acree Davis, located at 1993 Anderson Rd, Toccoa, GA 30577. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects and honor the incredible life of a man who touched the hearts of many.
