In Loving Memory

Danial Wilcox
May 28, 1950 — June 20, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Danial Wilcox, a cherished father, grandfather, and friend, who bid his final farewell on June 20, 2026, while surrounded by his loving family during a vacation. Danial was born on May 28, 1950, in Jackson, Michigan, to Ralph Wilcox and Clarrissa McDougal, who predeceased him. He was 76 years old.
Danial was a man of humble beginnings, who grew up in a close-knit family alongside his brother, Ralph Wilcox, who also predeceased him. He earned a college certificate in computer science, which laid the foundation for a dedicated career. For many years, Danial worked as a housekeeper at Allegiance Hospital, where his meticulous attention to detail and unwavering work ethic left a lasting impression on his colleagues and patients alike.
In life, Danial was blessed with the love and companionship of his wife, Stephanie Wilcox, who predeceased him, leaving behind a legacy of love and devotion. Together, they raised three beautiful daughters: Danielle, Clarrissa, and Susan Wilcox, the last of whom passed away before him. His daughters were the light of his life, and he found immense pride in their achievements and happiness. He is survived by Danielle and Clarrissa, and his son-in-law, Todd Graves, who he regarded as a son. Danial was also a proud grandfather to three grandchildren, who brought joy and laughter to his days. Though he did not have the opportunity to meet great-grandchildren, his legacy will undoubtedly be carried forward by future generations.
Danial had a deep affection for the great outdoors, where he found solace and adventure in equal measure. He adored swimming and hiking, often setting out on spontaneous adventures to explore nature's wonders. His enthusiasm for the natural world was infectious, and he inspired many to appreciate the beauty of the earth.
He possessed a fiery spirit and a temper that, while occasionally formidable, was endearing and became a signature trait of his vibrant personality. This passionate nature was a testament to his deep love for those close to him, and his family and friends will miss his spirited presence dearly.
A service to honor and celebrate Danial's life will be held at 1:00 PM on June 30, 2026, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, located at 3637 Spring Arbor Rd, Jackson, MI 49201. Family, friends, and all whose lives Danial touched are warmly invited to attend as we gather to remember a truly remarkable man.
In this time of mourning, we take comfort in the many memories and moments shared with Danial—a man whose love for his family and the world around him was as boundless as the sky above. His spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him, and his legacy will forever be cherished.
