In Loving Memory

Dana Demerly
October 19, 1963 — June 7, 2026
Dana Demerly, born on October 19, 1963, of White Pigeon, Michigan, passed away on June 7, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Dana entered the world as the beloved son of Nels and Sylvia Demerly, who preceded him.
Dana is survived by his cherished daughter, Danyell (Michael) Jones, and his four grandsons, fondly referred to as his "Grandsons of Anarchy": Camren, affectionately called "Dirty White Boy," Jaxon, lovingly known as "Rooster," Michael, his "Tugboat," and Raylan, his "Tank." His siblings, sister Teri (Dale) Chaffee, and brothers Lyle (Kim), Garold, Brian, and Bruce Demerly, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. I think we all can agree that we've heard Dana exclaim about himself, "I'm the favorite" to us all
Dana shared a long-term relationship with his girlfriend, Laura, with whom he shared joyful moments. Dana devotedly cared for her until she passed.
Known for being a "Jack of all trades, master at none,"
Dana's true passion was in racing. Whether working on racecars, assisting in the pits, or cheering as the number one fan, his heart was always at the track. His lifelong dedication as a volunteer at The Historic Mottville Speedway was a testament to his love for the sport. When he wasn't immersed in racing, Dana could be found enjoying another passion—watching wrestling, and westerns often around the clock.
Dana had a love for collecting Hot Wheels and cherished his actual car nearly as much as he cherished his family. With a heart of gold hidden beneath a sometimes gruff exterior, Dana was known for his stubbornness, pickiness, and, love for his family. He was always ready to have fun, and loved a good bonfire or party with lots of rock and roll playing. He could often be found at the dance floor playing a mean air guitar!!
Dana's life will be celebrated with a Celebration Of Life service
on September 19, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at FaithFinders Church, located at 229 W. 2ND Street, Constantine, MI 49042.
Following the service, per Dana's request there will be a bonfire/hog roast (and all the fixings) and his favorite rock and roll songs played. Come join us to have a evening of fun in his honor just the way he wanted it!!
Everyone is welcome!!
