Dan Swift
February 18, 1964 — May 24, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Dan Swift, a cherished father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Dan departed this world peacefully on May 24, 2026, at the age of 62. Born on February 18, 1964, in the warm and welcoming town of Noblesville, Indiana, Dan's journey through life was marked by unwavering love for his family, steadfast dedication to his work, and a joyous embrace of his passions.
The beloved son of Carl and Dorothy Swift, Dan grew up surrounded by a nurturing family that instilled in him the values of hard work, integrity, and compassion. As he matured, Dan carried these principles with him, leaving an indelible mark on everyone he encountered.
In 1982, Dan answered the call to serve his country and joined the United States Army. Over the course of nine years, he served with distinction in the Artillery and Ordnance division, earning the Army Commendation Medal for his commitment and bravery. Dan's military service was a source of immense pride and shaped him into the dedicated and disciplined individual we all came to know and admire.
After his honorable discharge in 1991, Dan channeled his focus and determination into a successful career as an owner-operator truck driver. For 20 years, he traversed the roads of America, amassing an astounding three million accident-free miles—a testament to his meticulous nature and unparalleled dedication to his craft. Dan's colleagues and clients revered him not only for his professionalism but also for his warm smile and the genuine kindness he extended to everyone he met.
Away from the demands of the road, Dan found solace and joy in the rolling greens of the golf course. With every swing of the club, he relished the peaceful camaraderie and challenge that the game offered. Music, too, held a special place in Dan's heart. His love for singing was a gift he shared with family and friends, filling their lives with melody and happiness.
Dan was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Vicki, and his dear sons, Daniel and Michael. He is survived by his cherished stepdaughters, Sammie and Heather, who brought untold joy and love into his life. Dan's legacy lives on in his adored grandchildren—Emma, Aidan, Elijah, and Samara—whose laughter and innocence were his greatest treasures. He is also survived by his sisters, Carol, Linda, and Laurie, who shared in his life's journey, as well as a multitude of nieces and nephews. His sister, Sally, passed before him, and he now joins her in eternal rest.
In remembering Dan, we celebrate a life characterized by resilience, love, and an unwavering spirit. His warmth and kindness will forever resonate in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. As we bid farewell to a remarkable man, we take comfort in the memories and the legacy he leaves behind.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects and celebrate Dan's life at a service to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Dan's memory to a charity close to his heart.
May Dan Swift rest in peace, knowing his life was a testament to love, courage, and the enduring power of family.
