It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the untimely passing of Damien Michael Williams, affectionately known as "Dame" or "Dayday," who left this world far too soon on March 31, 2026. Damien was born on October 26, 2000, in Warren, Ohio, and from his first breath, he brought an immeasurable light into the lives of all who knew him.
The cherished son of William Williams and Iva Basinger, Damien was a beacon of kindness and compassion. He was preceded in death by his loving grandparents, William Williams Sr., Iva Basinger, Sharon Franks, Betty Jo Mitchell, and James Franks. He also joins in eternal rest his beloved sisters, Keyona, Ciera, Dezmariah, Aerial, and Ednisha, and his brothers, Terrence, Dontae, Curtis, Ja'Vonte, Roshell, and Justin.
Damien is survived by his parents, William and Iva, his devoted siblings Keyona, Ciera, Dezmairah, Aerial, and Adneisha, as well as his brothers Terrence, Curtis, Ja'Vonte, Dontae, Rochelle, and Justin. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and his goddaughter, Norah Daniels, along with his godmother Amy and dear friend Shawn Timmons.
Educated at Warren G. Harding High School, Damien was a cherished member of his community, known for his unwavering commitment to helping others. Though he did not serve in the military, his devotion to service was evident in his career as a caregiver, where he moonlighted to provide comfort and support to those in need. Damien's heart was as vast as the sky, and his generosity knew no bounds. With a loving spirit, he always extended a helping hand to anyone in need and was a source of laughter and joy with his infectious sense of humor and witty jokes.
A God-fearing man, Damien's faith was a cornerstone of his life, and it guided him in his mission to uplift those around him. He was a man whose warmth and encouragement left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him. His ability to lift spirits and spread positivity was a gift, and his legacy of kindness will forever remain in our hearts.
A memorial service to honor Damien's life will be held on April 14, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Sterling McCullough Funeral Home, located at 1153 Main Ave., Warren, OH. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Damien are invited to come together to celebrate the beautiful legacy he has left behind.
