Damien Elias Ponce

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Damien Elias Ponce, who left this world unexpectedly on September 2, 2026. Born on October 19, 2019, in Seminole, Texas, Damien was a beacon of light and joy to all who knew him during his short but impactful life. Damien was the beloved son of Yesenia Flores and Ramon Ponce. He was a cherished grandson to his maternal grandpa, the late Jesus Maciel Flores, and is survived by his loving family, including his great-grandparents, and his cousins Jose Meza and Reymundo Ponce Jr., who preceded him in passing. A vibrant young soul, Damien graduated from Pre-K at Bright Horizon Academy/Shining Stars in May 2025. He was eagerly embracing his journey through education as a first-grader at Mills Elementary. Damien’s thirst for life and learning was evident in every step he took. He was an active member of the Strikers soccer team and participated in activities at The Works, where he made countless friends and created lasting memories. Damien had a natural ability to bring people together, whether through his love for a good wrestling match, playing Roblox, or exploring the endless wonders of YouTube. Damien found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as afternoon walks, visiting his favorite ice cream shops, and indulging in baking cakes with his family. He was a spirited child who could spark a conversation with anyone, leaving a trail of smiles and laughter wherever he went. His funny, caring, and loving nature endeared him to everyone he met. He is survived by his devoted parents, Yesenia and Ramon, and his beloved sibling Axel. Damien shared a special bond with his cousins Eriya and Uriel, who will forever cherish his memory. A service to celebrate Damien's life will be held on September 9, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. at Griffin Funeral Home, located at 401 N Dalmont. Family and friends are invited to gather and honor the beautiful life of a boy who brought so much joy to the world. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Damien’s memory to an organization close to your heart. Damien Elias Ponce will forever remain in our hearts, a symbol of innocence, love, and the power of a child's spirit. While our hearts are heavy with grief, we find solace in the love he shared with us and the memories that will never fade.
