It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Damaine Tyrell Green, who departed this life on July 27, 2026. Born on June 20, 1990, in Prince Georges County, MD, Damaine was a cherished son, devoted father, and a source of strength and joy to all who knew him. Damaine was the beloved son of Derrick Jones and the late Octavia Green. He grew up in a loving family, alongside his late uncle Purnell Green, who played a significant role in his life. Damaine's education began within the halls of DC Public Schools, where his inquisitive nature and warm personality left a lasting impression on both peers and teachers alike. As a father, Damaine's light shone brightest through his daughter, Damia Hartzog. He was deeply devoted to her, and his legacy of love, kindness, and integrity will forever guide her path. Family and friends will gather to celebrate Damaine’s life on August 15, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. The service will be held at Mary’s Church, located at 1919 1st Street NE, Washington, DC. It will be a time to reflect on the beautiful memories, laughter, and love that Damaine shared with everyone fortunate enough to be part of his life. In keeping with Damaine's generous spirit, the family invites those who wish to honor his memory to consider making a donation to a charity of their choice.
