Dallis was the beloved son of Alva and Dulsie Sinclair, who instilled in him the values of integrity and kindness that would guide him throughout his life. He was a beacon of light to his family, friends, and all those fortunate enough to cross his path.
He shared a beautiful 49-year marriage with his devoted wife, Judith Byrd Sinclair. Their love story began on December 18, 1976, in Indianapolis, blossoming into a life filled with laughter and cherished memories. Together, they raised two children, each a testament to their nurturing and compassionate nature.
Dallis's educational journey led him from Carmel High School, where he graduated in 1961, to Western New Mexico University in Silver City. There, he became a proud Mustang, playing football with enthusiasm and dedication. His time at university was marked by camaraderie and the forging of lifelong friendships.
A dedicated professional, Dallis found his calling in the meat packaging industry. His career culminated as a logistics manager at Smithfield Packing in Wilson, North Carolina, where he was respected for his diligence and leadership. Upon retiring in 2008, he left behind a legacy of hard work and integrity.
Dallis was a man of faith and community, serving as a member of the First Methodist Church of Washington for 17 years. His easy-going, loving nature made him a friend to all, a confidant, and a source of warmth and comfort.
An avid fisherman, Dallis found solace and joy on the water, casting lines with the same patience and persistence he applied to life. In his early years, he enjoyed the thrill of hunting, embracing the great outdoors with passion.
Dallis was predeceased by his son, Barry Sinclair, his brother Phil Sinclair, and his dear parents, Alva and Dulsie Sinclair. Their memories were cherished deeply within his heart.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Judy, and their daughter, Jennifer Diann, who resides in Raleigh, North Carolina. Dallis's legacy continues through his grandchildren, Hannah of Wake Forest, North Carolina, and Dallis of Wilmington, North Carolina, who will carry forward his spirit of love and joy.
A service to honor and celebrate the life of Dallis Ray Sinclair will be held on May 16, 2026. Family and friends are invited to join in remembrance of a remarkable man whose life was a testament to love, friendship, and unwavering kindness.
