Dale Francis Stewart

April 25, 1949 — May 18, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dale Francis Stewart, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who departed this world peacefully on May 18, 2026, in the comfort of his home in Star Valley Ranch, Wyoming. He was 77 years old. Dale was born on April 25, 1949, in Henderson, Clark County, Nevada, to Erlene Stock Stewart and Harold Press Stewart. From an early age, Dale demonstrated a passion for life that would later become the cornerstone of his enduring legacy. Growing up in a close-knit family, he cherished his relationships with his parents and siblings, especially his younger brother, Mick, with whom he shared many adventures. Dale attended Western High School, where he graduated before embarking on a journey to Las Vegas to further his education at Reno College from 1968 to 1969. He later pursued studies in psychology and sociology at both UNLV and the University of Utah. Though he never obtained a formal degree, Dale's thirst for knowledge and understanding of human nature profoundly influenced his life and work. In his professional endeavors, Dale was a visionary and a builder. He dedicated much of his life to developing Star Valley Ranch and Star Valley Ranch Resorts, where his tireless efforts brought to life a community that continues to thrive. His love for nature was evident in the two greenhouses he nurtured and his meticulous care of the four golf courses and grounds both at the ranch and RV Park. A man of faith, Dale was a devoted member of the Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he found joy in serving others. He was passionate about teaching and dedicated time to mentoring youth through scouting programs. His generosity extended beyond his own family; each Mother’s Day, he delighted in gifting flowers to the community, a gesture that spread warmth and cheer. Dale's personal life was enriched by his marriage to Anna Dee Ward, affectionately known as Andy, and Rhea Bills. Together, they built a family filled with love and laughter. Dale was the proud patriarch of a family that included his children and 12 cherished grandchildren, who were the light of his life. To honor Dale's life, a service will be held on June 5, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Thayne Cemetery, located on Dana Street. Friends and family are invited to gather in remembrance of a man whose life was a testament to kindness, dedication, and love. The family wishes to extend a special message: "In the garden of life, Dad was our master gardener. His love and wisdom cultivated a family rooted in love and resilience. He taught us to grow with grace and to bloom where we are planted. We will carry his spirit in our hearts forever." Dale Francis Stewart leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and community. His memory will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him, and his impact will be felt for generations to come.
