December 31, 1954 — November 4, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Dale Celaya, who departed this world on November 4, 2025, after a sudden illness. Born on December 31, 1954, in Bakersfield, California, Dale graced this earth with his presence for 70 wonderful years, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and countless cherished memories. Dale was the cherished son of Humberto Celaya and Jackie Graves, who predeceased him. He now joins them in eternal peace. He is survived by his devoted son, James Celaya, and his beloved grandson, James Celaya Jr. Dale also leaves behind his stepdaughter, Jennifer Blevins, and stepsons, Jerimiah Wilson and Jeffrey Wilson, who all held a special place in his heart. A man of great dedication, Dale proudly served his country in the United States Army from April 16, 1972, through April 16, 1975. His sense of duty and commitment to service were qualities he carried throughout his life. Following his military service, Dale embarked on a long and fulfilling career with UPS Freight, where he worked tirelessly for 34 years until his well-deserved retirement. Dale was a man of many passions. His love for classic cars and motorcycles was legendary, with a particular fondness for collecting 1955-1957 Chevys. He found immense joy in taking long rides to Oatman, Arizona, to watch the burros and relished the tranquility of fishing, even if he never caught a thing. Dale's hobbies included tinkering on old cars, collecting advertising signs, and old license plates. His dogs were his world, and he was known for his unwavering devotion to them. Dale's quirky sense of humor and compassionate nature endeared him to all who knew him, and there was never an animal or friend he wouldn't help. Dale's love for life extended to attending and participating in antique car shows, where his enthusiasm and spirit were infectious. Though he was not affiliated with any particular club, his passion for classic cars connected him with a vibrant community of fellow enthusiasts. A service to honor and celebrate Dale's life will be held on April 28, 2026, at 8:00 AM at the Boulder City Veterans Memorial, located at 1650 Buchanan Drive. We gather to remember a man whose heart was as big as his love for his family, friends, and furry companions. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all the friends who stood by Dale during his final hours and continue to support James and Violet during this difficult time. Your kindness and compassion have been a source of comfort and strength. May Dale Celaya's memory live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His legacy of kindness, humor, and devotion will forever be cherished.
