January 23, 1980 — March 30, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Dale Brian Maldonado, a cherished soul who left this world on March 30, 2026, at the age of 46. Born on January 23, 1980, in the vibrant city of Colorado Springs, CO, Brian was the beloved son of Ana and Albert Maldonado. He was a beacon of kindness and warmth in the lives of all who knew him, and his departure leaves an indescribable void in our hearts. Brian is survived by his loving fiancé, Molly Monahan, who was his steadfast companion and confidant. He embraced Molly's children—Makayla (John), Brianna, and Jordana—as his own, and was a proud grandfather to Franklin, whose laughter and innocence brought Brian immense joy. His nurturing spirit extended to his sisters, Lisa Farwell (Joel) and Lori Finkle (Bill), and their families, including nieces Lauryn, Kristen, Leah, Keira, and Alexandra, with whom he shared countless memories. Brian's family extended beyond blood, encompassing his stepdaughters Betsy Torpen (Anthony Torpen) and Krista Flos (Sean Vitera), and their children—Charlie, Patrick, Elizabeth, Roxann, Jason, Mary, Cheryl, and Amelia—along with stepdaughter Chelsey Flos (Josh Winney). He was a cornerstone of their lives, always ready with a warm smile or a word of encouragement. A proud graduate of Mitchell High School, class of 1998, Brian excelled in both football and baseball. His passion for sports continued as he enjoyed playing softball with friends and participating in the local bowling league. His love for the Denver Broncos was unwavering, and he cherished the camaraderie of family gatherings at games. In 2000, Brian graduated from IntelliTec Colleges with a degree in Computer Technology, a testament to his dedication and drive. His career at MDM Pumps spanned nearly three decades, where he was more than just an employee; he was a pillar of the company. Brian's dedication, reliability, and meaningful relationships shaped MDM into the thriving enterprise it is today. He was not only a colleague but a friend, whose presence brought comfort and stability to the workplace. Brian was known for his kind heart, warm smile, and striking hazel eyes. His sense of humor was infectious, endearing him to everyone he met. Always willing to lend a helping hand, Brian was a true friend to all, embodying compassion and generosity. A private funeral service will be held to honor Brian's life on April 20, 2026, at 11:00 am at The Springs Funeral Services, located at 3115 E Platte Ave., Colorado Springs, CO 80909. Though the ceremony is private, we ask that you hold Brian in your hearts, remembering the joy and love he brought into the world. In honoring Brian's legacy, let us carry forward his spirit of kindness and laughter. His memory will forever be cherished, and his impact on our lives will be felt for generations to come. As we bid farewell, we celebrate a life well-lived and a love that will endure beyond time.
