It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the untimely passing of Dakota Leanne Harmon, who left this world on April 27, 2026, at the tender age of 17. Born on August 29, 2008, in Roane County, TN, Dakota was a beacon of joy and laughter, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Dakota, lovingly remembered as "everyone's favorite," brought light into every room she entered with her infectious humor and warm smile. Her unique ability to lift the spirits of those around her was a testament to her generous and caring heart. She was a young woman of deep convictions and faith, finding solace and strength in her belief that God was her savior. It is with this faith that we take comfort, knowing she is now enveloped in divine grace.
Dakota's journey in life was marked by resilience and determination. She graduated from juvenile education in early August 2025, a milestone that spoke volumes of her strength and perseverance. Her love for music and church was well known, and she found joy and peace in melodies and hymns that resonated with her soul.
Raised by her foster parents, Jessica Starnes and Amber Price Starnes, Dakota was a cherished daughter. Despite the challenges she faced, her capacity for love and forgiveness was boundless, a true reflection of her gentle spirit.
A service to celebrate Dakota's life will be held on April 27, 2026, at 5:17 PM at The Grove Baptist Church, where she found so much joy. The address is blah blah. Family, friends, and all whose lives Dakota touched are invited to join us in remembering and honoring her remarkable life.
In this time of sorrow, Dakota's family shares a special message: "Dakota believed that God was her savior; therefore, she will be going to heaven." May her unwavering faith be a source of comfort to all who mourn her passing.
