Daisy M Young Sims

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Daisy M Young Sims, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Daisy passed away peacefully on August 2, 2026, surrounded by her family and loved ones. Born on November 30, 1958, in Columbus, Mississippi, Daisy was the cherished daughter of WC Young and Lessie M Young. From an early age, she exhibited a strength and resilience that would become a hallmark of her character throughout her life. Daisy pursued her education with determination, earning her GED and embarking on a fulfilling career at Best Western, where she was known for her dedication and strong work ethic. Her colleagues and friends admired her for her unwavering commitment and the warmth she brought into every room. A devoted member of the Full Gospel ministries, Daisy found great joy and spiritual fulfillment within her faith community, participating actively in services and events that enriched her life and those around her. Daisy's family was her pride and joy. She was the loving matriarch of a large family, blessed with 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Her nurturing spirit and boundless love were a source of strength and inspiration for her family, who will forever cherish the memories of her kindness and the lessons she imparted. A service to celebrate Daisy's life will be held on August 15, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Full Gospel Ministries. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of a life well-lived and a spirit that touched so many. The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Daisy's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN, a cause close to her heart. As we remember Daisy, we hear her voice in our hearts, echoing her favorite saying, "Ain’t that a flip." Her legacy of strength, love, and faith will continue to inspire us all. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.
