On August 2, 2026, Daisy M Young Sims of Columbus, Mississippi, completed her earthly journey, leaving behind a legacy of strength and love that will be cherished by many. Born on November 30, 1958, in Columbus, Mississippi, Daisy was a beacon of resilience and warmth to all who had the honor of knowing her. Daisy was the beloved daughter of the late WC Young and Lessie M Young. She is now reunited with her cherished parents, her sister Janie B Young, and brother WC Young Jr. Despite these profound losses, Daisy carried forward with the grace and fortitude that defined her character. Daisy's life was marked by her indomitable spirit and commitment to her family. She is survived by her devoted siblings: Mary A. Turner, Nancy (Albert) Harris, James Young, Pamela D. Turner, Annie Holt, Angela Young of Columbus, Mississippi, and Randy (Rosalyn) Young of DeSoto, Texas. Her legacy continues through her children, Tony (Andrea D.) Young and Chasity, as well as her 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren who were the light of her life. A dedicated and hardworking woman, Daisy obtained her GED and contributed her talents to the Best Western, where she was respected and admired for her dedication. Beyond her professional life, Daisy was an active member of Full Gospel, where her faith was the cornerstone of her life. Her involvement in the church community was a testament to her unwavering faith and commitment to service. Daisy will be remembered for her strong character and the kindness she extended to all. Her infectious spirit and the phrase she often used, "Ain’t that a flip," will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew her. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Daisy's life and legacy on August 15, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Full Gospel Ministries in Columbus, Mississippi. It is here that we will gather to honor a life well-lived and a soul deeply loved. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made in Daisy's memory to a charity of your choice.
