Daisy Coston

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Daisy Coston, who peacefully left this world on July 25, 2026, at the age of 82, after a courageous battle. Born on May 22, 1944, in Memphis, TN, Daisy was the cherished daughter of the late Cassell Tate Sr and Queen Esther Tate. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, four sisters, eight brothers, and her precious great-granddaughter, Aniyah. Throughout her life, Daisy embodied strength, love, and resilience. She was a devoted mother to her four children, Carey, Daphne, Valerie, and Mardi, who were the light of her life. Her legacy lives on through her 11 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren, each of whom she adored and inspired with her warmth and wisdom. Daisy dedicated 31 years of her life to a fulfilling career at Bell South/AT&T before enjoying a well-deserved retirement. Her colleagues remember her as a hardworking and compassionate individual, always ready to lend a helping hand and share a kind word. A woman of faith, Daisy was an active member of the Longview Heights Seventh Day Adventist Church, where she found solace and community. Her faith was a guiding force in her life, offering her strength and comfort through all of life's challenges. In her leisure time, Daisy found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was an avid reader, a passionate traveler, and cherished every moment spent with her family. Her love for storytelling and her zest for adventure encouraged those around her to see the world with wonder and curiosity. A service celebrating Daisy's remarkable life will be held on August 15, 2026, at 12:00 PM at the NJ Ford Funeral Home located at 12 South Pkwy W, Memphis, TN 38109. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all who are able to join them in remembering and honoring Daisy’s life. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Daisy's memory to a charity of your choice, reflecting the generous spirit with which she lived her life. Daisy Coston's memory will forever be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May her soul rest in eternal peace, and may her loved ones find comfort in the beautiful memories she leaves behind.
