Daemon Whitaker
November 4, 1999 — April 8, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Daemon Whitaker, who left this world far too soon on April 8, 2026, at the tender age of 26. Born on November 4, 1999, Daemon was a beacon of light and joy to all who knew him. His sudden departure has left a void in our hearts that words can scarcely fill.
Daemon was the cherished son of the late Angela Whitaker and Michael Hemphill, who both predeceased him. Their love and guidance shaped him into the remarkable young man he became, instilling in him values of kindness, perseverance, and compassion. He is survived by his beloved sister, Kimberly Whitaker, and his dear cousins, LaKeisha, Shannon, and Brittany Hemphill, who were like siblings to him. Together, they shared a bond that was unbreakable, filled with laughter, love, and countless cherished memories.
Raised in the vibrant city of Baltimore, Daemon was a spirited soul with dreams as vast as the sky. From a young age, he harbored a passion for sports, with aspirations of one day playing in the NBA. His dedication to the game was unparalleled, and he could often be found perfecting his skills on the local basketball courts, where his infectious smile and sportsmanship won him many friends.
Daemon was a student at Baltimore Community College, where he was pursuing his education with the same passion and determination that he brought to the basketball court. His teachers and classmates remember him as a bright and motivated individual, always willing to lend a helping hand or share a word of encouragement.
Though his time with us was brief, Daemon’s impact on the world was profound. He lived with an open heart, touching the lives of everyone he met with his warmth and generosity. His laughter was a melody that could brighten even the darkest days, and his spirit will continue to inspire all who knew him.
A private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Daemon's life, where family and close friends will gather to celebrate his memory and bid him a heartfelt farewell. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Daemon’s name to a local youth sports organization, helping to nurture the dreams of other young athletes, just as Daemon’s dreams were nurtured.
Though Daemon is no longer with us, his legacy of love, resilience, and hope will live on in the hearts of those he touched. As we say goodbye, we hold on to the beautiful memories and the indelible mark he left upon our lives.
Rest in peace, dear Daemon. You will forever be missed, but never forgotten.
