With heavy hearts and treasured memories, we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved father, grandfather, and friend, Dad, who left this world on February 12, 2026, at the age of 68. Born on August 28, 1957, Dad was a beacon of warmth and strength, whose presence enriched the lives of all who knew him. Dad was the cherished son of the late Minnie Miller and was predeceased by his loving family members Larry Williams, Terrell, and Shelia Mc Gwoan. Though they have passed, their spirits live on in the stories and love he shared about them. A devoted father, Dad leaves behind two adoring daughters, Tanya Mabry, 42, of Georgia, and Jessica Williams, 36, of South Carolina. His legacy continues through his four grandchildren: Ciara Mabry, 18, and Ciere Mabry, 16, both of Georgia, and Malyk Williams, 12, and David Williams, 11, of South Carolina. Each of them carries a piece of his heart, his wisdom, and his unwavering love. Dad had an enduring passion for basketball, not only as a sport but as a way to connect, teach, and inspire. His love for the game was infectious, and he spent countless hours on the court sharing his knowledge and guiding young players through the intricacies of basketball and life. His impact on the court was mirrored by his influence off it, as he taught his grandchildren more than just the fundamentals of the game—he taught them about dedication, perseverance, and the importance of teamwork. His life was a testament to kindness and compassion, always ready with a warm smile or a helping hand. Dad found joy in every moment, whether spent cheering from the sidelines, sharing stories at family gatherings, or simply enjoying the quiet beauty of a summer evening. His laughter, wisdom, and love will be deeply missed but never forgotten. As we say goodbye to Dad, we remember a man whose life was a tapestry of love, woven with the threads of family, friendship, and passion. While his physical presence is no longer with us, his spirit lives on in the hearts of those he touched and the legacy he leaves behind. The family will hold a private memorial service to honor Dad's life and celebrate the many ways in which he enriched our world. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to local youth basketball programs to continue Dad's commitment to nurturing young talent and fostering community spirit. Dad's journey on this earth may have ended, but his love and legacy will forever illuminate the paths of those who were fortunate to have known him. May he rest in eternal peace, united once more with those he loved and lost.
