March 3, 2023 — May 4, 2025

In Loving Memory of D K It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of D K, who left this world peacefully on May 4, 2025, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Born on March 3, 2023, in the vibrant city of Calgary, Alberta, D K was the beloved son of J K and T D, and he leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and dedication. From a young age, D K found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid outdoorsman, with a particular fondness for fishing, four wheeling, and motorbikes. The open road called to him, and he answered with a career as a class 1a and 3 driver instructor for Gennaro and as a truck driver—a profession he cherished throughout most of his life. D K was known for his warm smile and his ability to bring a touch of humor to any situation. His attention to detail was unmatched, especially in his work, where he strived for excellence every day. But it was his care and compassion for his family that truly defined him. Those who knew him will forever remember the gentle kindness he extended to everyone around him. His love for animals, especially dogs, was evident to all who knew him. D K's home was always open to four-legged friends, and they brought him immense joy and comfort. D K was predeceased by his parents, D K and T D, and he is now reunited with them in eternal rest. He leaves behind a family who cherished him deeply and a circle of friends who will miss his presence in their lives. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Eli for the unwavering support and guidance provided during D K's final days. Special thanks are also extended to the Edmonton Cross Cancer Institute and the Misericordia Palliative Care team for their compassionate care. At D K's request, a private funeral ceremony will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to the Edmonton Cross Cancer Institute or the Misericordia Palliative Care in Edmonton, in memory of D K. Though he may have left this world far too soon, D K's spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. May he rest in peace, and may his memory be a blessing to all who had the privilege to know him.
