Born on May 29, 1958, in Poughkeepsie, New York, Cynthia lived a life full of passion, creativity, and love.
Cynthia was the beloved daughter of Joan and Luther Bonnett, both of whom preceded her in death, along with her brother Edwin and niece Brittney. She was also predeceased by her devoted husband, Keith Wilson. Together, Cynthia and Keith shared a deep and abiding love that was enriched by the adoption of their daughter, Heather, whom they raised with boundless devotion and care.
An alumna of the New York University Tisch School of the Arts, Cynthia graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in dance. Her education laid the foundation for a remarkable career that spanned over three decades. Cynthia's professional journey led her to Walt Disney Entertainment, where she served as a choreographer and director, inspiring countless performers and enchanting audiences with her visionary work. Her talents also graced the stages of Sesame Street Live! and various productions in Orlando as a Performance Director and Choreographer, where she continued to share her passion for dance with the world.
Cynthia's life was a testament to the joy she found in the arts and the simple beauty of everyday moments. She had an enduring love for Broadway shows and the enchantment they brought to life. Her spirit was at peace on the water, whether watching sunsets or spending time on the boat, surrounded by the tranquility of nature.
Those who knew Cynthia will remember her not only for her professional accomplishments but for her vibrant spirit and the warmth she exuded. Her laughter was infectious, her smile ever-present, and her capacity to make others feel seen and loved was unmatched. She was a beacon of light, always joking and spreading joy to those around her.
Survived by her cherished daughter, Heather Wilson, and her two beloved nieces, Cynthia also leaves behind a circle of dear friends who became family and stood by her through life's journey. Her friends and family were her greatest treasures, and she delighted in creating memories filled with love and laughter.
In honor of Cynthia's wishes, a private ceremony will be held to celebrate her extraordinary life. While her physical presence will be deeply missed, her legacy of love, laughter, and dance will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.
