In Loving Memory

Cynthia Juanita Miller Jordan
November 14, 1950 — May 3, 2026
Cynthia Juanita Miller Jordan, affectionately known as "Cookie," gracefully exited this world on May 3, 2026, at the age of 75. Born on November 14, 1950, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Cynthia was a woman of profound elegance and charm, whose life was a testament to love, resilience, and the beauty of family.
Cynthia was the cherished daughter of the late Reynold and Evelyn Miller. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Vincent Jordan Sr., her sisters Beverly Goins and Linda Miller, and her parents. Her spirit is carried on by her sister Renee Ellington and brother Reynold Miller Jr., her loving children Vincent Jordan Jr., Lavar Jordan, and Tialyn Jordan, her adored grandchildren Ashley Danielle Jordan and Lux Olivia Jordan, and her precious great-grandchildren Chamson and Massai Fleurant. Cynthia's legacy also lives on through her nieces and nephews: Ricarda, Connie Goins, Tasha Renee Muhammed, Sean Miller, Versailles Bryant, and Aiesha Ayanna and Tahirah Jordan.
In December 1968, Cynthia married the love of her life, Vincent Jordan Sr., and together they raised a beautiful family, instilling in them the values of education, love, and perseverance. A proud graduate of West Philadelphia High School, Cynthia further pursued her education at the University of Pennsylvania, specializing in Real Estate in 1980.
Cynthia's professional journey was marked by a fruitful career as a computer programmer with the Visiting Nurses Association in Philadelphia, where she dedicated two decades of service. Her career later diversified through roles at the Keswick Theater, the Atlantic City Airport, and as a bridal consultant at Dressed to Impress in Egg Harbor Township. Her work was not just a profession but an extension of her vibrant personality and commitment to community.
Beyond her professional contributions, Cynthia was a beacon of joy and creativity. A member of the "Crazations" girls club since high school, she was a natural-born entertainer, finding immense joy in dance, theater, and gardening. Cookie's home was often the heart of family celebrations, where her infectious smile and lively spirit lit up every gathering. Her love for hosting was mirrored in her children, who inherited her zest for life and entertainment.
Cynthia's life was a symphony of grace and strength. She personified class and elegance, lighting up every room she entered with her beauty and spirit. Yet, she was also a straight shooter, unafraid to stand her ground when necessary. Her love for nature was reflected in her passion for gardening, and her pride in her children's educational achievements was a testament to her dedication as a mother.
Her presence will be deeply missed, especially during the holidays, which she celebrated with unmatched enthusiasm. Cynthia's humor, kindness, and undeniable class made her a joy to be around, ensuring that every moment spent with her was filled with laughter and love.
The family invites all who were touched by Cynthia's life to join them in a celebration of her life on June 19, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Carnesale Funeral Home, located at 202 S Third Street, Hammonton, New Jersey 08037.
