Cynthia D. Roberson-Kelley

Cynthia Denise Roberson-Kelley was born in Kansas City, Kansas on January 8, 1957, to Robert Roberson Sr, and Mayme (Garnett) Roberson. She remained a lifelong resident of Kansas City, Kansas. She was the second born and only girl of three brothers, Robert Roberson Jr., Kenneth Roberson, and Wendell Roberson. Cynthia attended Fairfax Elementary, Northwest Junior High, Wyandotte High School graduating in 1975. She furthered her education at Donelly College graduating with her associate degree in December 1994 and attended St. Mary’s Community College. Cynthia was a lifelong member of Metropolitan Baptist Temple, in Kansas City, Kansas. Cynthia is divorced but produced two daughters from her marriage, Aisha Kelley and Tasha Kelley. Cynthia’s career started 39 years and 8 months ago in the Richard Boiling Federal Building in Kansas City, Missouri. Her career journey began with the Department of Interior Office of Surface Mining, then the Housing and Urban Development, next the Construction Division Contract Administration Branch as a Clerk Typist working her way up as a Secretary, and lastly the Corp of Engineers beginning as an Equal Opportunity Employment Tech working her way to an Equal Employment Opportunity Specialist, then to an Equal Employment Opportunity Manager. She was responsible for conducting many training/educational programs and putting on Take Your Daughter’s and Son’s to Work Day in which she did for 35 years of employment. She retired October 31, 2025. Also, Cynthia became a member of the Prince Hall Order of Eastern Star, Kansas Jurisdiction in April 2007, joining Jennie N. Moore Chapter #50. She held many offices within her chapter working her way to becoming the Worthy Matron in her Chapter in 2014-2015. Past Matron Cynthia has had Grand Chapter Offices as well, holding the positions of Grand Credentials Chair, Grand Treasurer, Grand Custodial Secretary, and lastly the Grand Secretary. Other honorable mentions are she held an Honorary Secretary position with the Prince Hall Masonic Foundation, and she assisted with Electa’s Daughters and Sons Youth Fraternity. Cynthia was also a member of the Orient Assembly #39 Order of the Golden Circle, Kansas City, Kansas. Loyal Lady Cynthia has served as a secretary in that organization as well. Her Mother Mayme (Garnett) Roberson, Father Robert Roberson, Sr, Brother Kenneth Roberson Sr, and Brother Wendell Roberson, Nephew Eric Roberson, Cousin (Best Friend) Pam France, and Best Friend Alice Swaite proceeded her in death. Cynthia departed this life into her eternal sleep July 30, 2026. Cynthia leaves to cherish her memories: four grandchildren; Myesha Kelley, Nathaniel Thomas, Jr., Nayzia Thomas, and Tai Givhan, Ten great grandchildren; Synea, Symone, Niya, Stephon, Anthony, Aiden, Nathaniel III, Karma, Zen, and Adrien, Four Nephews and One Niece; Robert Roberson III, Michael Roberson, Kenneth Roberson Jr., and Katrena Roberson, Three Fur babies; Zoie, Tiny, and Baby Cakes. And a host of family, Masonic PHAmily, and friends.
