Cynthia Bintz Hensley

September 20, 1949 — August 7, 2026

Cynthia Bintz Hensley, fondly known to many as Cindy, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2026. Born on September 20, 1949, in Zanesville, Ohio, Cindy was a cherished daughter of the late Aloysius L. Bintz III and Mona Taylor Bintz. She was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Deborah Bates. Cindy is survived by her devoted husband of 42 years, Doug, and his children, Ronda Lynn Holcomb (Steve), Douglas E. Hensley (Kathy), and Alan G. Hensley (Dana). Cindy was a proud grandmother to six grandchildren and a doting great-grandmother to six great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to her life. She is also survived by her siblings: Katherine Smith (Jeff), Aloysius Bintz (Jan), Rex Bintz (Vanessa), Mark Bintz (Vicki), Marie Alexander (Ray), Kevin Bintz (Jill), and John Bintz (Linda). The love and connection she shared with her siblings were unshakable, and they will forever cherish the memories they created together. Cindy had an extraordinary gift for making others feel cherished and valued. She possessed a rare ability to open her heart and home to anyone in need of comfort and companionship. Family was the cornerstone of her life, and she took great pride in remembering every birthday and organizing family gatherings during holidays and special occasions. Her home was a sanctuary of warmth and togetherness, welcoming not only family but friends as well. Cindy's presence was never ostentatious or loud; instead, it was steady, patient, and deeply felt. Her quiet strength and unwavering love served as the glue that held her family together. To be in her presence was to feel at home, and she will be profoundly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her. In honor of Cindy's life and her dedication to her faith and community, donations can be made to St. Ann's Catholic Church or the Tunnel to Towers organization. Her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire and guide those who were touched by her gentle spirit.
