Crystal Ruth

September 13, 1961 — May 18, 2026

It is with profound sadness and a deep sense of gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the peaceful passing of Crystal Ruth on May 18, 2026, at the age of 64. Crystal left this world surrounded by the love of her family, having bravely faced the challenges of cancer with unwavering grace and resilience. Born on September 13, 1961, in Reading, Pennsylvania, Crystal was the cherished daughter of Robert Ruth Sr. and the late Mary Piotrkowski. She was a guiding light to her siblings, and though her mother and brother, David Poteiger, preceded her in death, their memories remained ever-present in her heart. Crystal attended Reading Senior High School, where she laid the foundation for a life centered around family and love. As a single mother, she devoted herself wholeheartedly to her daughter, Charmaine Ruth, and embraced the role of a nurturing grandmother to her beloved grandchildren, Tianna Cruz and Inail "Lucky" Cruz. Her legacy of kindness and generosity lives on in them. Family was the core of Crystal's existence. She was a devoted sister to Robert Ruth Jr., Cheryl Ruth, and Guy Piotrkowski, and her love for them knew no bounds. Crystal's life was a testament to giving selflessly; she shared her time and resources freely, regardless of her own material possessions. Her compassionate spirit touched everyone she met, and she gave love unconditionally, even when it wasn't always reciprocated. Crystal's life will be honored in a private ceremony held on May 19, 2026, at 9:38 in the morning. While the service is private, the family extends their heartfelt thanks to the hospice nurses for their exceptional care and compassion during Crystal's final days. Their support was a source of comfort to both Crystal and her family, for which they are eternally grateful. As we bid farewell to Crystal, we remember her not only for her boundless love and endless generosity but also for the indelible mark she left on all our lives. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten. We find solace in knowing that her spirit lives on through her children, grandchildren, and all who were blessed to know her. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that those wishing to honor Crystal's memory do so by sharing a moment of kindness with someone in need, just as Crystal would have done. Her legacy is one of love, unity, and unwavering support—a legacy that will continue to inspire us all.
