Crystal Ellen Smith

March 15, 1982 — August 20, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Crystal Ellen Smith, who left this world on August 20, 2026, at the age of 44 after a long hard fought battle with Myasthenia Gravis. Born on March 15, 1982, in Henderson, Kentucky, Crystal was a beloved daughter to Shirley Blackwell. Crystal was the proud and loving mother of her two daughters, Ariel Stone and Phoebe Stone, who were the light of her life. She is also survived by her partner of many years, Ricky Stone, siblings, Joesph Smith (Nicole), Angel Stokes, Sheena Stone and Danielle Bolden, nieces Tinley & Audrey, nephews Jason, Zack, Zander, Bradley, Nicholas, Nathan, Dominic, & Chris, many aunts, uncles, and cousins all of whom she cherished deeply. In every aspect of her life, Crystal was a beacon of love and compassion. Her heart was vast, and she found immense joy in the little things that others might overlook. Known for her brutal honesty and dependability, she put others before herself, always ready with a helping hand or a comforting word. Her presence was a gift to all who knew her, and she will be profoundly missed. Crystal had a passion for reading, she loved a good book. Her greatest happiness, however, came from spending time with her family, particularly her precious girls and her beloved mom. She also had a special place in her heart for animals, caring for them with the same tenderness she showed to everyone in her life. The family wishes to extend a special message of gratitude to the Deaconess Henderson Hospital ICU team for their dedicated care and support in her last days. The family asks that we all "enjoy the little things," a sentiment that embodies Crystal's outlook on life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Crystal's memory to the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America (National Office), an organization close to their hearts. Crystal's warmth and generosity left an indelible mark on this world, and her spirit will continue to live on in those who were blessed to know her.
