It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Crystal Augustine Hunter, who departed this life peacefully at her home on July 4, 2026, at the age of 39. Born on January 14, 1987, in Dallas, Texas, Crystal was a beloved daughter, mother, sister, and friend who touched the lives of many with her warmth, kindness, and unwavering spirit. Crystal was the cherished daughter of Betty Hunter and Lionel Keegan, and the beloved step-daughter of Alicia Brown-Hunter. She was a devoted and loving mother to her two children, Kendrick Jones and Aubrey Tyler, who were the light of her life and her greatest pride and joy. Crystal is also survived by her two siblings, who remained her closest confidants throughout her life, as well as a host of relatives and dear friends who will miss her deeply. A proud graduate of West Mesquite High School's class of 2005, Crystal continued her academic journey at Prairie View A&M University, where she expanded her mind and enriched her spirit. Her education was just one facet of her lifelong commitment to learning and personal growth. Crystal’s faith was a cornerstone of her life. As a dedicated member of the Greater New Bethel Baptist Church, she found joy and purpose in her spiritual community, where she was not only a participant but an inspiration to others. Her vibrant presence and compassionate nature left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her. In honor of Crystal’s life and her enduring spirit, a memorial service will be held on July 18, 2026, at 10:30 AM at the Greater New Bethel Baptist Church, located at 3917 S. Malcolm X Boulevard, Dallas, Texas 75215. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Crystal are warmly invited to attend and celebrate the beautiful legacy she left behind. Crystal Augustine Hunter was a beacon of light and love. Her memory will be cherished and her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Though she has departed from this earth, her legacy of love, kindness, and faith will remain with us forever.
