Cruz Guebara

September 18, 1944 — April 26, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Cruz Guebara, a cherished father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. Cruz departed this life on April 26, 2026, at the age of 81, embraced by the love of his family. Born on September 18, 1944, to Paul and Jane Guebara, Cruz was raised in a home that valued hard work, laughter, and love—principles he carried throughout his life. He was predeceased by his beloved parents, his devoted wife, Juanita Guebara, and his sons, Henry and Booby Guebara. Despite these great losses, Cruz remained a pillar of strength and resilience for his family. Cruz's professional journey was as diverse as it was inspiring. He began his working life as a barber, crafting not just hairstyles, but also lasting friendships. He later transitioned to a career as a bus driver, where his friendly demeanor and quick wit brightened the day for many passengers. Ever the entrepreneur, Cruz also ran a successful business driving a truck filled with the joy of snow cones, ice cream, and snacks, bringing smiles to all who crossed his path. A man of many interests, Cruz was particularly fond of visiting casinos. The thrill of the game was a delight to him, and he was known for his skill in playing dominos, a game that brought family and friends together around his table. Cruz's humor and warmth were infectious, and his big heart knew no bounds. He was a hard worker, always finding ways to support his loved ones and make a little extra money—an endeavor he both excelled at and enjoyed. Cruz is survived by his children, Luis Guebara, Blas Rodriguez, Richard Rodriguez and his wife Angie, as well as Sandra Flores and her husband Freddy. His legacy lives on through his five grandchildren, Amber Guebara, Jonathon Guebara, Sabrina Flores, Michael Rodriguez, and Julio Flores, and extends to his five great-grandchildren, Emma Rodriguez, Alaina Rodriguez, Olivia Flores, Sophia Flores, and Andrew Flores. Additionally, Cruz leaves behind a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends who will forever hold his memory dear. In remembering Cruz, we celebrate a life well-lived—one filled with laughter, love, and an unwavering commitment to family. His memory shall remain a source of inspiration and joy for all who had the privilege of knowing him. A service to honor and celebrate the life of Cruz Guebara will be held, where family and friends will gather to share stories, tears, and laughter, just as Cruz would have wanted. Though he has left this world, the impact of his life continues to ripple through the hearts of those who loved him.
