August 14, 2014 — March 4, 2026

It is with deep sorrow and profound love that we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, and cherished family member, Creedence James Aguilar Ballantyne. Creedence slipped away from this world peacefully, cradled in the love of his family, on March 4, 2026, at the tender age of 11, in HTX. Creedence was born on August 14, 2014, in Regina, Saskatchewan, to parents Rakia Kim-Ballantyne and Miklo Aguilar. From the moment he arrived, Creedence graced us with his soulful presence and wise heart, traits that would come to characterize his too-brief but deeply meaningful life. An old soul from the start, Creedence was known for his remarkable intelligence and a curiosity that knew no bounds. His passion for learning and his keen perception were evident to all who had the privilege of knowing him. He had a rare ability to see the world through a lens that many of us could only dream of, and he taught us to appreciate the simple, profound joys of life. Creedence held a special affinity for the sea, finding joy and peace along the water's edge. Beach days, whether filled with laughter amidst the waves or quiet contemplation in the sand, were among his most cherished moments. The ocean, in all its vastness and mystery, reflected his spirit—boundless, serene, and full of wonder. Creedence leaves behind a family who adored him beyond measure. He is survived by his devoted parents, Rakia and Miklo, and his siblings, Kaylea, Amerie-Jo, Channing, and Cassius, who will carry forward his legacy of love and curiosity. His presence will be deeply missed by his numerous aunties, uncles, cousins, and friends who were touched by his gentle spirit and infectious smile. He is predeceased by his special Aunt María Jose Gonzalez Aguilar, Grandpa Emmanuel Jesus Gonzalez, and Cousin Jolene Ann Ballantyne, whose memories will live on in the stories shared among family and friends. Though Creedence's time with us was far too short, the impact of his life will echo long into the future. His laughter, his insights, and his gentle soul have left an indelible mark on all who knew him. As we grieve the loss of our sweet boy, we find comfort in the memories of his love and the way he enriched our lives. A celebration of Creedence's life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor his memory and the light he brought into our lives. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Creedence's name to a charity dedicated to children's education or ocean conservation, causes that he felt passionately about. Creedence, though you are no longer with us, your spirit will forever guide us like the stars over the sea you loved so dearly. Until we meet again, may you rest in eternal peace.
