It is with heavy hearts and a profound sense of loss that we announce the passing of Craig Schnorbus, who departed this life peacefully on July 30, 2026, at St. Elizabeth's Health Care Edgewood Hospital. Craig valiantly battled cancer and Parkinson's Disease with strength and grace, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. Craig was born on August 28, 1952, in Covington, Kentucky, to the late Leo and Julia Schnorbus. He carried the values instilled in him by his parents throughout his life, always embodying the kindness and integrity they taught him. Craig's journey was one of remarkable achievements and deep connections, both professionally and personally. A proud alumnus of Covington Catholic High School, Class of 1970, Craig pursued his passion for engineering by earning a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati in 1974. His thirst for knowledge and dedication to his craft led him to further his education with an MBA in Engineering from Tulane University in 1979. Craig's career spanned 35 years as a chemical engineer with Shell Oil, where he made significant contributions in both New Orleans and Houston, leaving an indelible mark on his colleagues and the industry. Craig's professional success was matched by the warmth and joy he brought into the lives of those around him. Known for his quick wit and infectious smile, Craig had an uncanny ability to lighten the mood with a well-timed joke. His gift for making others feel welcome and valued was a testament to his generous spirit and loving nature. Family was the cornerstone of Craig's life. He is survived by his beloved wife of 25 years, Nicole, and his brother, Doug Schnorbus, who will forever cherish the memories of their shared laughter and love. Though Craig did not have grandchildren or great-grandchildren, he leaves behind a legacy of love that will endure in the hearts of all who knew him. A private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Craig's memory. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at St. Elizabeth's Health Care Edgewood Hospital for the care and support they provided during Craig's final days. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Craig's memory to an organization of choice that supports cancer research or Parkinson's Disease awareness. Craig Schnorbus will be remembered as a loving husband, a devoted brother, a gifted engineer, and a dear friend to many. His spirit will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him, and he will be dearly missed.
