Obituary of Craig L. Kinnard
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Craig L. Kinnard, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Born on June 30, 1962, in Red Hook, NY, Craig left us on August 30, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and dedication.
Craig was the cherished son of Reba Mae Kinnard and James Kinnard, who preceded him in death, along with his brothers Harvey and Kenneth Kinnard. Despite these profound losses, Craig remained a pillar of strength and support for his family and friends.
He received his primary education in Poughkeepsie and Albany, NY, where he demonstrated a love for learning that resulted in earning two Associate Degrees. This commitment to education was reflected in his diligent work ethic throughout his career. Craig took immense pride in his work within factories that produced milk and dairy products, where he was known for his dedication and infectious enthusiasm.
In his personal life, Craig was a man who cherished the simple joys of being surrounded by loved ones. Known for his warm heart and sense of humor, he loved to spend his downtime with family and friends, cracking jokes and spreading laughter wherever he went. His ability to bring smiles to the faces of those around him was truly a gift.
Craig is survived by his beloved daughter, ShaQuanna Kinnard, and his three treasured grandchildren, VaQuar Harris, NayQuan Harris, and ShaQuarria Harris. He also leaves behind his three devoted sisters: Sandra A. Lamb of Ohio, Geraldine (Tyrone) Marshall of Jacksonville, Florida, and Lisa Curtis of Atlanta, Georgia. Two Valuable Brothers Julius Rooks of Miami Fl and Michael J Cook of Saint Paul MN. Each of them will forever hold dear the memories and moments shared with Craig.
A service to honor and celebrate Craig's life will be held on September 15, 2026, at 2:00 PM at New Comer, located on New Karner Road. Family and friends are invited to gather and pay their respects.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Craig's memory, as a tribute to his generous spirit and the love he always had for helping others.
Craig L. Kinnard will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his spirit will live on through the laughter and love he shared with everyone around him. His legacy of kindness and joy will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to be part of his life.
