November 11, 1988 — October 18, 2026

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Corporal Kelton B Reese, who left us on October 18th, 2026. Born on November 11, 1988, in Lawton, Oklahoma, Kelton's journey through life was marked by unwavering dedication, love, and service to his family and community. The beloved son of Cliff Reese and Jennifer Stuart, Kelton was deeply cherished by his family. Though he has now joined his predeceased father, Cliff, and grandparents, Jack and Geneva Reese, in everlasting peace, his legacy persists through his surviving family members. Kelton leaves behind his devoted wife, Charla Reese, whom he married on September 9th, 2016, in Lawton, Oklahoma. Together, they shared ten wonderful years filled with love, laughter, and the joy of raising their children: Marie Reese, Kayden Reese, Connor Reese, Arturia Reese, and Maigan Price and her husband. His extended family includes Nathan Montgomery and partner, Leland Montgomery and partner, Joseph Montgomery, and Orion Big Rivers. He was also a proud grandfather to Lilith Price and Lucas Montgomery, who brought him immense joy. Kelton was a man dedicated to his dreams. After graduating from Sterling High School in 2007, he pursued further training at the CLEET reserve academy in Caddo County. Though he spent much of his career as a skilled welder, he never let go of his aspiration to serve in law enforcement. In 2024, Kelton was hired as a full-time officer with the Sterling Police Department. Despite battling a rare illness, his resilience led to a full recovery, allowing him to return as a reserve officer in 2026, where he served passionately until his passing. Kelton's hobbies were a testament to his zest for life. An avid gamer and comic book collector, he found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as shooting guns and riding his motorcycle. But above all, his greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. His heart was as vast as any mountain, always ready to help those in need. It was this profound compassion that made him an exemplary police officer, respected and loved by his fellow officers, deputies, and everyone who had the privilege to know him. The impact Kelton made on his community and loved ones is immeasurable, and his absence will be felt deeply by all who knew him. A service to celebrate his life will be held on October 31st, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church and Methodist Church in Sterling, Oklahoma. The addresses are 29 West James, Sterling, OK 73567 for the Baptist Church, and 102 South 2nd, Sterling for the Methodist Church.
