March 1, 1953 — February 22, 2026

With profound sadness and deep appreciation for a life well-lived, we announce the passing of Corlie Stills, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who departed this world on February 22, 2026, at the age of 72. Corlie passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by the warmth and love of his family. Born on March 1, 1953, in Philadelphia, Corlie was the cherished son of Robert Anderson and Isadora Stills Anderson. He carried the strength and warmth of his parents throughout his life, embodying the values they instilled in him from a young age. He was predeceased by his beloved sister, Ann Anderson Johnson, and his brothers, Robert Anderson Jr. and Brian Anderson, whose memories he held dear in his heart. Corlie is survived by his devoted wife, Barbara J. (Hunsicker) Stills, whose partnership he treasured deeply. Together, they built a loving home filled with laughter and mutual respect. His legacy continues through his children: Jeremy Stills (Alyssa) of Gatesville, TX, Franchon Stills of Philadelphia, and Trista Kerns of Allentown. He was also a proud and loving father to his bonus children, Steven and Eric. Corlie found immense joy in his role as a grandfather to his ten grandchildren: Jeremy Jr., Hunter, Shea, Thaine, Peyton, Asa, Cambree, Dynasha, Dashona, and Tayla, each of whom brought light and happiness into his life. A graduate of John Bartram High School, Corlie's journey of service began with his enlistment in the military, where he proudly served in the Army's 82nd Airborne Division. His commitment to his country was a testament to his character, and those who served alongside him were not just colleagues but lifelong friends. Following his honorable discharge, Corlie pursued higher education at the University of Pennsylvania, where he became a certified Emergency Medical Technician. He dedicated many years as a supervisor for A&E Ambulance Services before concluding his esteemed career as a certified butcher supervisor with Dietz and Watson. Corlie was a man of many talents and passions. He was a longtime and active member of the American Legion Post 206 in Lansdale, where he served as Chaplain, offering comfort and guidance to fellow veterans. This role was a natural extension of his compassionate nature, as he had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcome and at ease. As a licensed minister from the Universal Life Church, Corlie shared his wisdom and encouragement with all who needed it. His laughter was infectious, his spirit indomitable, and his presence a beacon of reassurance to those around him. Whether sharing stories with fellow veterans or imparting life lessons to his grandchildren, Corlie's words were always laced with kindness and wisdom. Corlie is survived by his siblings, Sheila, Chon, Jaun, and Chris, each of whom held a special place in his heart. Their bond was a testament to the enduring power of family, a value that Corlie held sacred throughout his life. As we reflect on Corlie's life, we remember him as a man who lived with integrity, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to those he loved. His legacy will continue to inspire and guide all who were fortunate enough to know him. A service to honor Corlie's remarkable life will be held on a date to be announced, where friends and family will gather to celebrate his enduring legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Legion Post 206, an organization that was close to Corlie's heart. Corlie Stills will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts and memories of all who knew and loved him. Rest in peace, dear Corlie. Your life was a blessing, and your memory a treasure.
