We are saddened to announce the passing of Corienne Ann Mason, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who left us peacefully on July 25, 2026, at the Marshfield Medical Center in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Cori was surrounded by the love of her family during her final moments, a testament to the cherished connections she fostered throughout her life.
Born on July 17, 1962, in Illinois, Cori was the cherished daughter of James and Sharon Sleater. Growing up, she was a source of joy and laughter, qualities that she carried throughout her life. She was predeceased by her dear grandparents, Lloyd and Sharon Schneider, whose memories she held close to her heart.
Cori's life was a tapestry woven with love and dedication. She graduated from Eau Claire High School in 1979 and continued to build a life full of warmth and creativity. As a mother, she poured her heart into raising her three sons, Craig (Melissa), Sean (Michelle), and Anthony, who, along with her grandchildren, brought immense pride and joy to her life. Her siblings, Sherry, Renee, Chuck, and Jim, were not only her family but also her lifelong friends.
Cori's happiest moments were spent surrounded by her loved ones. She cherished the time spent at her parents' cabin, where the simple pleasures of fishing and pontoon rides on the lake filled her soul with happiness. Family gatherings were highlights in her life, where good food and lively card games created lasting memories. Cori took great pride in her home, a haven she worked tirelessly to create and often redecorated with her artistic touch.
A devoted Green Bay Packers fan, Cori rarely missed a game, cheering on her team with unwavering enthusiasm. Her talent for drawing, discovered at a young age, remained a beloved hobby throughout her life, reflecting her creative spirit and passion for art.
Known for her laid-back demeanor and good sense of humor, Cori had a unique ability to see the good in people. Her welcoming personality and kind-hearted nature drew others to her, leaving an indelible mark on everyone she met.
The family will hold a private funeral ceremony to honor Cori's life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Cori's memory may consider making a donation in her name to a charity of their choice.
As we mourn the loss of Corienne Ann Mason, we also celebrate a life well-lived, full of love, laughter, and unforgettable moments. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her, and her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those she loved.
